Thus far at the San Diego Children's Pastors' Conference we have seen Tim Hawkins, Eric Hamp, Josh Weidmann, and Michelle Anthony. The General sessions have been much appreciated by all in attendance. A few people have spread the word through the internet:
Dacaseface: "We need not more from Him but more of Him"
AngelaKHoward: "Awesome message re FAITH by @joshweidmann! Amen!"
AdamDeCorte: "Just got my HEART pierced by the message from @joshweidmann about FAITH"
timscheidler: "Every parent needs to hear what Dr. Michelle Anthony has to say"
As you can see, the day has been a great one, and the day ended with a Night on the Towne, so I will leave you with one thing: A video of the Rhythm Cafe from today's general session.
I was looking forward to this evening, partly because I'm a sports fan and partly because I had viewed the Hoops of Hope video and would cry everytime. Austin is 15 years old and an amazing communicator with a heart for those who hurt. We heard one woman say "I just saw the best speaker ever at CPC, and he was 15 years old." Be sure to check out his website and view the video!
I have lots of video from today, but due to some technical difficulties have had trouble getting them loaded. I'll try later tonight or tomorrow morning. Until then, here's a little something taken by our Global Focus Director, Eric Hamp, with Kidmo Johnny Rogers. As always, Johnny steals the show!
General Session #3 had an international flavor, with drums and prayers for all six continents launching the evening. I was able to get a little bit of video of this unique and music driven evening.
Everyone is now enjoying Dinner on the Town, going to the restaurant of their choice and enjoying a little fun time with other attendees. Later it's dessert at the Resource Center!
I did get the chance to sit down with Tim Hawkins and I will try to get that up tomorrow. It's been a crazy, fun kind of busy here - we wouldn't have it any other way!
Our Conference Assistants are the best! They work long hours, even pay their way here to volunteer their time to our conference - we couldn't do it without them! These pics give you an idea of how blessed we are to have them here!
A moment of hilarity with INCM Executive Director Judy Comstock and the always fun Theater Off The Cuff! (Who just happen to be one of our performers during lunch tomorrow).
